Sightseeing in brasilia

Built in 1960 in the shape of an airplane silhouette, designed by architect Lucio Costa and Oscar Niemeyer, Brasilia is the capital of Brazil. The idea of former President Juscelino Kubitschek was to clear the coast and river and make the center of economic development. 
The city offers visitors the buildings of the architect Oscar Niemeyer. Not far from Brasilia, it is possible to explore the natural beauty of Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, the architectural treasures of the city of Goiás (Goiás Velha) and hot springs in the region of Caldas Novas.

As the city was built as a plane, it's pretty easy to spot that the most important sites are in the central part commercial and residential areas and are found along the wings (North and South). You can start by visiting the Memorial JK, dedicated to former President idealizador Brasilia, then continues to the Shrine of Don Bosco (church with its Murano glass), the Belvedere of the TV Tower, the National Library, the National Museum and the Cathedral ; both the purpose of Niemeyer, the Esplanade of the Ministries, the Plaza of the Three Powers, which houses the National Congress (legislative), the Planalto Palace (Executive), the "Supreme Court" (judicial) and the Palace of the Itamaraty (Foreign Ministry). Continue to Alvorada Palace (residence of the President of the Republic), the JK Bridge and South Embassies Sector.

Heritage as the city is also known as Goiás Goiás Velho Vila Boa or home stunning baroque churches (St. Francis of Paola, N. Sra. Boa Morte Da) and beautiful colonial facades. Opportunity to visit the House Cora Coralina (Brazilian author), beautiful colonial house, the Conde dos Arcos Palace, former residence of the governors and the Museo das Bandeiras used as a prison in 1766 now houses antiques and period furniture.

Chapada dos Veadeiros (UNESCO)

Located 260 km north of Brasilia, the National Park Chapada dos Veadeiros classified UNESCO is highly conserved and is a good choice for nature lovers. The "closed" (Savannah) is the dominant vegetation of the area with shrubs, bushes and palm trees. Several animal species can be found as anteaters, armadillos yellow, capybara and over 800 bird species. 
The views are of the city of São Jorge, a former mining town of quartz, as a package of 3 days / 2 nights 4 days / 3 nights. Program: Circuits guns, Moon Valley, waterfalls and natural pools circuit, observing animals (macaws, capybaras, toucans, anteater, maned wolf ...). The best time to visit the Parque da Chapada dos Veadeiros April to October.
